Eight years at Tesisquare, building supply-chain software. The work to look at is SQL Server, the machines around it, and a product I run from the database to the phone.

01 — SQL Server
From about 60 seconds to about 6
A batch update ran about every five minutes and took about 60 seconds. I split it into four statements in the same transaction. The first two build staging tables, so the match only sees the rows it needs, and the engine runs the steps in order.
The same kind of change, on applications with thousands of users and up to about 100,000 API requests a day.
02 — Homelab
A lab that has been stable for months
Two Ubuntu machines, on recycled hardware. The domain is cociglio.net, on Cloudflare, exposed through a tunnel from the primary server.
The second machine is a Borg repository. It accepts SSH only from the primary server’s IP, and only an append, so wiping the primary disk does not delete the backups.
Telegram tells me when a Borg backup or a prune finishes. Every two minutes a check reads RAM, CPU, and temperature.

03 — Product
Money Manager
Usable. Still in debug.
An Android app and its backend, for recording personal transactions. What works today:
- Registration, login, and logout
- Backup and import
- Transactions, accounts, categories, and subcategories, chosen while entering a transaction
- A filterable overview, with the same filters on the transaction list
Android, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Hilt. Java 21, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, JWT, Flyway. The Docker image is deployed by a pipeline on a self-hosted GitLab.

04 — Tesisquare
September 2018 to present
Supply-chain software, with three international clients. I report to my manager and I work with the client’s technical team.
The application environment on my machine is a copy of production, and it is not containerized. I install IIS in front of ColdFusion: redirects, maintenance pages, error pages, web.config. I back up and restore SQL Server myself, including roles, permissions, and ports, locally and often on QA.
In production, a simple request such as a backup and restore goes to the cloud provider. A new environment goes through the internal infrastructure team. On the QA servers the company owns, I already configure that stack: ColdFusion, IIS, Samba shares, local users. I also set up SFTP, and I run a Kafka broker in Docker on the local machine.
I write technical specifications for the junior developers, and I am the reference on the systems I own. I follow UAT, integration tests, and the architectural choices. In a new setting I settle in quickly.
